Bill Chatoney – Drums & Percussion
Bill has played drums just about all his life.
Living in Jacksonville, FL in the late 60’s during
the “birth” of Southern Rock found Bill in the Mason
Dixon Band. They had a regional No. 1 single that
stayed at the top of the charts for 17 weeks.
He played in a 13 piece Soul Review that included
members of Grinderswitch and could be found hanging
with members of the Allman Brothers band and Skynard
during those early Jacksonville days. For 2 years
Bill had the drumming job with Rock-n-Roll legend Bo
Diddley and then went on to do session work in FL
and Atlanta.
He played in Underground Atlanta for 4 years
alongside Atlanta Rhythm Section drummer Dennis
Yoast & Classics. He then toured extensively with
the band Lazer.
Bill has shared the stage and preformed with Ted
Nugent, Styx, The Drifters, Canned Heat, The
Zombies, The Outsiders, Shemika Copeland and more.
Bill is a founding member of Gas House Mouse.
