Butch Giusto hails from Augusta, GA where his first professional gigs started at 14 years old playing in a popular regional act Frank Britt and The Reserve. After an English degree, he completed  a Music degree in composition at the University of Colorado (Boulder) and wrote a number of scores for everything from small ensemble to full orchestra with performances in Denver, LA, New York, and Chicago.

His roots pulled him back to Augusta where he was the in-house composer for Arts in the Heart (a renovated Catholic church converted to an arts center) where he created and performed music for theatre interpretations of classic literature.

Butch has worked extensively with Augusta based groups that have included James Brown (studio), The Dixie Dreggs, Livingston Taylor, Modoc, The Edge, Snafu, Word of Mouth Band, All That Jazz, CrossCut, The Truly Dangerous Swamp Band, and many others.

He has shared the stage with a wide variety of performers that include: The Classics Four, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Grover Washington, Little Feat, Speed Bird, John Cage, Eric Quincy Tate, Gregg Allman, Chuck Lavell and Sea Level, among others.

In addition to extensive US touring, he has performed in Japan, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Aruba.
